Legacy of the Force Release Dates on Zoho
Hey guys. I typed up the release dates for the 9-book Legacy of the Force series on ZohoWriter which is pretty cool. Except for the fact that you can't publish your work to your blog. Which is not so cool. Apparently, a lot of Zoho users have had this problem; there are a few posts about it on their website. Anhoo... Here's the less then exciting link for the list.
Whew! Almost done with Week 6. I think updating library resources is very important to maintain a current and need based service. The author of "Away from Iceberg" made a valid point - he states that it is sometimes difficult to get away from the old way of doing things. However, PLCMC is making good strides in providing patrons and staff with the means to become more technically savvy. Savvy?
I tell ya, it's taking me a long time to get through Week 6's "things." Probably because I'm not finding these tools very useful. Technorati seems to have the same appeal as del.icio.us. Only very serious bloggers or people in need of a high volume of research tools and results would find these things useful.
Ok. I browsed through del.icio.us like a good little 2.0 blogger, and I gotta be honest, this wasn't my favorite "thing." I mean, I guess something like this would be good for someone in the process of writing a dissertation, but for your average 2.0 gal who hasn't the weight of a PhD on her shoulders, it's overkill. I linked the Star Wars search to show that I browsed the site.
Star wars.com has posted an update pertaining to the release of the 1st editions of the original trilogy. Lucasfilm will be releasing only Return of the Jedi in the unedited 1983 version. It will be available as a bundle with the 2004 Special Edition version. Bit of a let down for the fandom. Read more at this link.
